How is a betting tip made?
A betting tip starts with the prices. The engine reads home, draw and away odds from the 23 bookmakers on the list every 15 minutes, then every 5 minutes in the last 3 hours before kick-off.
It covers the Premier League, Championship, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Eliteserien, OBOS-ligaen, Champions League, Europa League, Nations League, internationals and the NHL.
But 23 bookmakers do not necessarily mean 23 independent prices. Bookmakers sharing exactly the same odds feed count as one price profile, so the same supplier does not get several votes. A match needs prices from at least three profiles.
The margin is stripped out of each profile. The average then gives the fair probability and the fair odds. That is the comparison behind the tip: does the best available price beat the fair odds?
A tip is only published when it does, when the odds are between 1.50 and 4.50, and when kick-off is 3 to 24 hours away. A tip is never published later than 10 minutes before kick-off. A missed run never produces a tip after the fact.
On each ticket, you see the time, the best odds and the bookmaker, the fair odds, the price ladder and a short explanation built from the numbers. You can see both the price offered and the comparison behind it. It is a better price on the same bet, not a promise of profit.
